Day 1
- Arrive
Toronto -
Arrive today in Toronto, Canada's largest city. A complimentary
transfer is provided to the Trafalgar hotel. A Trafalgar
representative will be available this afternoon at the hotel to
answer any questions you may have.
Day 2
-Toronto – Onboard "The
Canadian" Train (2 nights)-
Transfer this morning to Toronto's Union Station where you board
VIA Rail's "The Canadian" Silver and Blue Class for a three day,
independent rail journey across Canada.(Continental Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Day 3
- Onboard "The Canadian" -
Today, journey through Northern Ontario and into Manitoba with a
stop in Winnipeg late afternoon. We continue through the prairie
regions of Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Day 4
- Onboard "The Canadian" –
Jasper - Travel from Alberta's ranchlands into the foothills of the
Canadian Rocky Mountains. The train arrives in Jasper National
Park. Here you'll be transferred to the hotel to join your
Trafalgar Tour Director for the Canadian Rockies portion of your
tour. (Continental Breakfast / Lunch)
Day 5
-Jasper – Columbia Icefield –
Banff (2 nights) - Enjoy the morning at leisure. Then we travel along the
spectacular Icefields Parkway stopping to ride the Ice Explorer
right on to Athabasca Glacier. From here we climb Sunwapta Pass
and stop at Bow Lake for the stunning glacier scenery before
reaching our hotel in the heart of the Banff township.

Day 6
- Banff sightseeing & at
leisure - This morning, view the beauty of Banff National Park from atop
Banff Gondola. The afternoon is at leisure. (Full Breakfast)
Day 7
- Banff – Kelowna - This morning we'll visit famous Lake Louise before traveling
through Kicking Horse Pass into British Columbia. From here we
continue our journey through Yoho, Glacier and Mount Revelstoke
National Parks into Canada's fertile Okanagan Valley and the
town of Kelowna, on the shores of Lake Okanagan for dinner and
overnight stay. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 8
- Kelowna – Whistler -
Our journey takes us through the dramatic Thompson and Fraser
Canyons to the rugged coastal mountains. We follow remote Duffy
Lake Road through alpine scenery to the ski resort of Whistler,
future home of the 2010 Olympics. (Full Breakfast)
Day 9
- Whistler – Victoria (2
nights) - Follow the Sea to Sky Highway to Horseshoe Bay where we join a
ferry crossing the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island and the
charming town of Victoria. Here we enjoy a tour of the city
before a specialty restaurant dinner in this waterfront city.

Day 10
- Victoria – Butchart Gardens -
This morning we visit renowned Butchart Gardens with acres of
floral displays. In the afternoon time is at leisure to perhaps
go whale watching or enjoy a carriage ride. (Full Breakfast)
Day 11
- Victoria at sea - Cruise from Victoria through the scenic San Juan Islands to
Seattle, where you board the Dawn Princess cruise ship. (Full
breakfast/Dinner)
Day 12
- Cruising - At Sea -
Stretch out, relax and enjoy the scenic views as you cruise
north towards Alaska's Inside Passage. (Full
breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 13
- Juneau - Explore Juneau, Alaska's capital, on your own or make join an
optional excursion. (Full breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 14
- Skagway - Visit Skagway's historic district, perhaps you'll remember Jack
London's accounts of the wild days of Alaska. (Full
breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 15
- Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm
cruising - View picturesque fjords and glaciers today, the on-board
Naturalist gives details on the area's varied wildlife. (Full
breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 16
- Ketchikan - In Ketchikan, you can take a closer look at the local arts and
crafts and admire one of the world's largest totem pole
collections. (Full breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 17
- Victoria - See more of lovely Victoria today, you may wish to revisit
Butchart Gardens. (Full breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 18
- Seattle - Vancouver -
Disembark in Seattle this morning before returning by coach to
Vancouver International Airport at approximately 1:00pm. (Full
breakfast)
