Day 1
(Sun.) Board your overnight transatlantic flight.
Day 2
Arrival in Cairo, Egypt.
- (Mon.) Transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.
Enjoy this evening’s welcome dinner with your traveling companions.

Day 3
Cairo. The Pyramids.
- (Tue.) Meet your Egyptologist for a spectacular day of sightseeing
including the EGYPTIAN MUSEUM. Afterwards visit walled Old Cairo
including BEN EZRA SYNAGOGUE, Cairo’s oldest Jewish temple and the
site where the baby Moses is said to have been found. It is also
where the famed Genizah documents were discovered. Afterwards visit
the “HANGING CHURCH” (EL-MUALLAQA). (BB,D)
Day 4
Cairo.
- (Wed.) Morning sightseeing includes a visit to GIZA’s SPINX and the
Great Pyramids. Afterwards visit MEMPHIS, believed to be the site
visited by Abraham to address the Pharaoh of Egypt. See statues of
RAMSES II (regarded to be the ruler of Egypt around the Exodus
period) and the ALABASTER SPHINX, followed by SAKKARA’S “Stairway to
the Sky” (the oldest pyramid). Also visit a PAPYRUS INSTITUTE today.

Day 5
Cairo-Goshen-Ishmailia-St.
Catherine.
- (Thu.) Depart Cairo for the land of Goshen, and the ancient cities
of Ramses and Pithom. “The Land of Goshen” is where Jacob received
land from the pharaoh, a place where Israelites grew, flourished,
and then were enslaved, and where Moses was born and raised.
Continue to one of the famous Suez Canal cities called Ismailia,
while glimpsing Timsah (Bitter Lakes) en route. Arrive at St.
Catherine. (BB,D)
Day 6
St. Catherine-Sharm el Sheikh.
- (Fri.) Enjoy an excursion to ST. CATHERINE’S MONASTERY, situated at
the foot of Mt. Sinai-or Mount Moses (Biblical Mount Horeb), where
Moses received the Ten Commandments. One of the jewels of Western
Civilization, St. Catherine’s Monastery is home to some of the
world’s richest collections of icons and ancient manuscripts, and it
is built on the reputed site of the “Burning Bush.” (Note: For those
physically able, there may be a before-dawn hike to the spot where
Moses received the Ten Commandments). Depart for Sharm el Sheikh,
the most popular Red Sea resort on the Sinai Peninsula. (BB,D)
Day 7
Sharm el Sheikh.
- (Sat.) Full day at leisure to enjoy your resort. Go
snorkeling or maybe try a camel ride in the desert.
Day 8
Sharm el Sheikh-Cairo.
- (Sun.) Morning flight from Sharm el Sheikh back to Cairo. Afternoon
at leisure. Enjoy this evening’s farewell dinner. (BB,D)
Day 9
(Mon.) Your homebound flight arrives the same day. (BB)
